OUR CHURCH MODEL

Every day they devoted themselves to meeting together in the temple, and broke bread from house to house. They ate their food with joyful and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. Every day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved.  – Acts 2:46-47

While churches traditionally worship in large gatherings within church buildings, our congregation meets as small groups in homes and public spaces. The idea is to keep meetings small and intimate. This allows for everyone to participate directly in each gathering and use the gifts God has given them.

These groups, which we call life groups, are similar to the cells in our physical bod. In the growth process, cells multiply. One becomes two, two becomes four, and so on. It is our vision to grow and multiply in the same way, establishing new life groups around our communities.

Since we are not confined to a building, the WayLife congregation can grow with very little limitation in size or location. And with very little overhead, finances can be used to meet the needs of the congregation, community, and missions. Though we do gather as one larger congregation, our primary and most important ministry is accomplished in our life groups.
